My Internet is down which makes it difficult for me to do things like homework and blogging. While I appreciate you trying to give me more time to sleep before a long shift tomorrow... I do not appreciate using my cell phone to answer emails and complete blog posts so please just reconnect the shit I pay for before I go all beanie baby on your ass!!

Whoops. I missed yesterday. In my defense it was a REALLY long weekend of work. Super busy and I was exhausted last night. I didn't even think about eating let alone posting on here. So when the younger munchkin went to bed at 9:30, so did I.

I set my alarm to get him up and ready for school in the morning. Heard the oldest come home about 11:45 last night but I don't think I even moved in bed 9except to glance at the clock). So this morning I got up at 7 to get the boy to school and realized my daughter's car was outside. She ALWAYS opens the shop on Monday's at 5:30am, so I checked on her. She was asleep in bed and once again late for work. I have no idea how she still has a job to be honest with you. She's done this like a dozen times. Why does she even agree to work mornings? I can't remember the last time she actually woke up on time. She says she sets her alarm and she must turn it off and go back to sleep. Now a normal person would what....set a back up alarm? Put the alarm across the room so that she HAD to get up to turn it off. It makes me wonder if she is just looking for an excuse to lose her job. WTH!!??

Of course if she was as smart as she thinks she is, she would not come home close to midnight and stay up til all hours on the night before she is supposed to be to work early. It drives me nuts how irresponsible she is. I figure she'll get fired before long and then what....?? She is driving me nuts. Of course it's worse now that she seems to be losing her direction. Evidently the change in major consideration is due to one frigging class. She is flunking anatomy. She's always been an A student but she just isn't applying herself to school. She focuses on the "social" stuff way more than the academic stuff and this is what happens. And to be honest. She is 19 (almost 20) and she needs to get her shit together. I love her and support her but I'm about ready to tell her to get it together or get out. I'm just so damn frustrated with her!!

Ok that's my vent for the day. Hopefully I don't go off on her tonight. I'm just so fed up.

Well, off to start my day off by doing work for work....UGH! Later.

Busy day at work today but a pretty good day. My foot is hurting though. Came home to find my parents had been over to let my dog out and drop off yummy soup. I <3 my family!! :-)

Just a quick shout out and thank you to all our military men &women as well as their families. You are all heroes to me! I grew up in a military family and I know that it takes so much to do what you all do. I truly appreciate your sacrifice toward my family's freedom!

How I'm feeling tonight after listening to my daughter talk about changing her major, her life and goals.

Yesterday my daughter hit her head at work and obtained what I was pretty sure added up to a concussion. So last night I woke her up a few times to check on her and make sure she re-oriented well ( I'd bet $$ she had nightmares about Obama). This morning she was still feeling a bit woozy and leaning slightly so I took her in. Guess what!!?? She has a concussion and needs to take it easy for awhile... Hmmmm.... Sounds like what her mom said.

So we come home and I'm cleaning. The girl is resting.... The bird is flying around when BANG!!! Dang bird flew into our hall mirror. I swear I wasn't sure she was gonna come outta that one. She was dazed and uncommonly quiet for several hours.

So I've been taking care of two head cases today. It's been fun..but I'm definitely ready to go back to work tomorrow. Ha

Looooong day at work and it's gonna be a loooong night at home too. I got off of work tonight and there was a message from my daughter that shed hit her head really hard at work and was feeling a little woozy and achy. She'd called her grandparents to come get her and was at their house (have I mentioned how thankful I am for my parents!!?)

So it looks like age has a concussion... Which means I get the joy of waking her up every hour or so tonight to make sure she knows where she is, who she is and who the president is. Sounds like fun huh?

Good thing I'm off tomorrow. Supposed to get snow tonight too so with any luck... They'll cancel school for the kids and well be able to "hunker down" and nap tomorrow.

I accomplished nothing today....okay...well close to nothing anyway. Munchkin boy had an appt for his physical and flu shot. Turns out his spine is curving. Wonderful. Then he heard from some kid that try puts we're tomorrow not today so we had to get ahold of the coach. I swear if this child ever gets organized... I'll go into shock for sure!!

So since I took today off for tryouts I'm working tomorrow afternoon. Good thing my father is going to be around to take him or he'd be SOL.

I hope he makes this bowling team. I think it'll do him good to part of a team of peers. Plus its one of the few extracurriculars approved by all his doctors. Keep your fingers crossed!

What a day!!! I swear sometimes I feel like the kid gets up in the morning and thinks.... "what can I do to frustrate mom today?" I love the monster but good grief!!

We were all three off today and since we have ppl coming over this week for a handicap waiver meeting I decided it was a great time to clean and do a little re-arranging. Getting the older one going was easy but munchkin turned into monster as quick as I could say dust or vacuum.

And after I lost track of how many hours of whining.... I decided the unthinkable.... We needed to move the bird! Holy moly! You'd thought I'd just cut off a toe or something ( his not mine). Yikes!

So you see... We have this beautiful sun conure who other than mimicking the microwave and the dogs squeak toys.... All she does is screech and scream. We talk about re-homing her all the time and seriously I know the house would be much more relaxed without her but.... There she is. Anyway anytime something like a car or person goes by outside she freaks out so I wanted to move her away from the window and put the bookcase in that corner. Took about an hour to move it all in addition to the 20 minute meltdown from my son. Sigh. Why do I attempt such things?

Anyway, with all the drama he caused for himself today, he lost his TV and cellphone. Sure hope he shapes up the attitude soon. On the other hand the house looks darn good, still cluttered, but way better!! Now if it can just stay that way for awhile.

It's the end of daylight savings tonight!!! Yahooo! Gaining and hour of sleep is always awesome in my book!! So glad I'm not working at the hospital tonight since its always a pain in the butt and technically a longer night too.

I was reminded about the time change this morning when I got up. The munchkin was up and watching TV. He looks at me and says " you already changed all the clocks". I'm like... "ummm no it's really 9 am". Evidently he thought he had slept in or something weird. Who knows? Anyway- now he's having a hissy fit because it's cleaning weekend and we have "a whole extra hour to clean!!". Good grief!!

Well, off to get some more of the cleaning list done. Everyone have a great weekend!!

So the ppl at NaNoBloMo came up with this topic for Friday. Do you like to write with pen and paper or type? Personally- it depends on my mood and the project. It's super easy to type up a post. I mean right now I'm lying in bed typing this on my iPhone. My laptop is sitting on the bed next to me but I'm too lazy to boot it up. Ha

Some projects just scream for pen and paper though. For example, my personal journal is one of those old-looking leather-ish bound book with a tie closure that I infrequently make entries into when something is weighing heavily on my mind. Another thing that HAS to be hand written are lists!! I'm a total list maker (ask my children about that). The best thing about paper and pen lists is.... Crossing things off!!!

Anyway- what's your preference? Are you a paper/pen kind of writer or to you prefer a more electronic means?

Anyone still us a word processor or typewriter?

It was a really bad night. I worked a 12 hour shift and right at the end of it we called a code. I have a love/hate relationship with codes. they get my adrenaline running and are exciting but when you are in the midst of one you are sometimes literally are trying to hang on to someone's life or bring them back and compressions SUCK MONKEY BUTT. The worst thing about a code is paperwork, remembering what you did as a primary and putting it in the charting. It's great that we have a recorder in the room but you still have your own charting to do. Then there is the patient and family who need extra support. Our Hospital is actually really good about having this piece in place though.

I got off really late so my parents kept the munchkin for the night. After work I called Tiff and went to grab something to eat and a beer. I was wound tight and needed to blow off a little steam. It was a good to catch up and by the time I got home, it was today, my mood was better and I was ready to go to bed. I'm off today so I get to sleep in...YAY! See ya tomorrow.

This is going to be a quick update because I have a ton of homework to do.

So the question is if you could have one last meal, what would you choose. Me? Well, I would go back to Jacksonville and sit at Singletons with a few beers and a bucket of boiled shrimp. :)

Well, I seriously thought about joining NaNoWriMo this month even though the last time I tried I just couldn't keep up or keep motivated but this year I decided to try NaBloPoMo. All I have to do is post an entry each day on my blog right? Nothing to it....right?

Life in general keeps me hopping so let's see if I can do this. Anyone taking bets yet? I wonder if Wordless Wednesday's count?

So let's see...not much going on around here. Hurt my foot the other day...by walking of all things. Shocker. Got to look at the x-ray and saw a beautiful heel spur on my heel. It looks like a fish hook growing out of the end of my heel. Cool huh? NOT!! No wonder my feet are always hurting. Sigh.

But I'm gonna suck it up since it's not broken and hobble in to work for a nice long shift tomorrow. Should be fun. :-) I've been off work for about 6 days now, not because of my foot, just scheduled that way. Anyway, wish me luck.

Can you tell my life is really boring? I might have to come up with some topics in order to post daily. Ideas??

I have always liked to write. I used to be so creative and then....I don't know....marriage kids school work divorce struggle....it all just came down on me over the past several years. I think this project will be a good one for me though and I'm looking forward to it.
